Journal + AI
Two ways to get insight out of your journal: stay inside Plai. for quick check-ins, or export to Markdown and bring it to ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for deeper analysis.
Bring your journal into the AI assistant of your choice — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or anything else that accepts a text file. Best when you want to analyze months at a time, or use models Plai. doesn't run in-app.
Export your entries from Plai.
Open Plai. → Settings → Data → Export. Plai. exports your full journal as a single Markdown file.
Save or share the file
Send the .md file to Files, AirDrop it to your Mac, or share it to a notes app. Keep a backup copy if this is the first time you are exporting.
Upload it to an AI assistant
Start a new chat in ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini and attach the Markdown file. Most assistants can read several months of entries in one go.
Ask focused questions
Try prompts like “What themes repeat across these entries?”, “When did my energy drop this month?”, or “Which habits show up on my best days?”.
Validate before drawing conclusions
Cross-check the AI’s answers against your original entries. Treat the model as a reflection partner, not a verdict.
Tip. Markdown keeps formatting (dates, headings, voice memos) intact, so the assistant has more context to work with than a plain copy/paste.
